The electric field force attracts the particles toward the electrodes and they stick to the special paper elements called collectors placed over and between the electrodes.Clean oil is pumped back to the reservoir. Even particles below 0.5 microns can be removed by this process. The result is an extremely clean oil and the clean oil is also able to flush out the sticky sludge from the system . The electrostatic liquid cleaner has no influence on the additives of the oil.The liquid additives remain in the oil while the suspended contaminants are drawn to the electrodes and stick to the paper collectors placed over and between the electrodes.
